Obtaining Sametime software
Sametime software is usually downloaded from the IBM Passport Advantage site. You must have an IBM Passport Advantage account prior to downloading. Once you have logged into the Passport Advantage site, begin by looking for your authorized downloads, specifically those in the Lotus Software product family.
Click on the plus sign to expand the Lotus Software family list to find the IBM Sametime products. Each of the Sametime product lists can also be expanded, so that you only download those packages for the operating systems, languages, and features you plan to install.

When expanding the files in a Windows environment, use a short path name such as c:\sametime. Corruption may occur if long path names or deeply nested directories are used with the Windows extract utility. In some cases, the maximum path lengths for some Windows versions can be exceeded.
