Migrate Internet Information Services (IIS)
For many organizations, there is a mix of basic web pages running either HTML, Active Server Pages (ASP/ASP), or other code, and much larger applications that are incredibly more complex with application server configurations. When tasked with migrating either of these larger applications, multiple tools can be utilized to complete the planning and migration activities.
For example, let’s say we have a Windows Server 2016 application server that is hosting three basic IIS web applications, as follows:
Site Name |
Application Notes |
AZ801-App1 |
Small website, basic HTML files |
AZ801-App2 |
Medium website, basic ASP files |
AZ801-App3 |
Large application, complex configuration |
