In C# 7, they've expanded the range of places that you can throw errors from, and the types of errors with useful objects like this one that you can catch. If you were to open this code inside of an older version of Visual Studio, then it wouldn't build at all. So this is a great new feature to have. In the next, and final, chapter of the book we'll return to tuples and take a deeper dive into how they work and some more advanced things you can do with them.
