With that, we have come to the end of this chapter. This chapter is one of the lengthiest chapters but luckily not so complicated. We started with designing the security requirements of our IAC example and then used that as our guide to explore the various security and compliance topics. We learned about encryption at rest and transit, enabling auditing for Azure Data Lake Storage and Synapse SQL, implementing data masking, RBAC and ACL rules, row- and column-level security, and had a recap on data retention and purging. After that, we continued with topics such as AAD and Key Vault to manage keys, secrets, and certificates, learned about secure endpoints, and details of tokens and encryption in Spark.
