Anomaly Detection in Industrial Control Systems
As a type of control system, an industrial control system (ICS) is used to manage and integrate industrial processes and machines in various scenarios such as manufacturing, energy/water/gas provision, and other types of critical infrastructures. Typically, an ICS plays an essential role in controlling and automating complicated operations and includes several key components, such as sensors as key data acquisition components, actuators as key action components, processing units as key controlling components, and industrial communication protocols as key interfaces. As these components are vulnerable to cyberattacks, detecting the weaknesses of ICSs and preventing advanced cyberattacks are essential for security.
