Creating a Geodatabase
Throughout the other chapters in this book, you have worked with existing data from the Trippville_GIS.gdb
geodatabase. This has made things easy because you did not need to build the data or database from scratch. While it is often the case that much of the data you will use in ArcGIS Pro already exists, you may find the need at some point to create your own geodatabase. How do you do that?

A geodatabase is a spatially enabled database used to store GIS information and is the primary storage format for Esri’s ArcGIS platform. Geodatabases allow you to store your GIS data in a single repository, as it supports storage of both vector and raster data. In addition to storing data, geodatabases also support the inclusion of data validation objects, such as topologies, domains, and subtypes that can be used to help ensure your data is correct. Geodatabases also support the storage...
