JungleSea Inc. allows its customers to find and discover anything they might want to buy online. Its objective is to bring in as many suppliers and partners as possible into their ecosystem so that they can offer a wide range of products for customers to buy at the lowest possible prices. However, their current IT infrastructure is not agile or responding to the changing needs of their business. Years of stovepipe application development (stovepipe systems so tightly bound together that the individual elements cannot be differentiated, upgraded, or refactored) has created a proliferation of enterprise and regional applications, with little thought given to an integrated enterprise. Some of the shortcomings include:
