Installing and configuring block and file storage in Windows Server 2016

Disk performance and storage systems are normally one of the most expensive and important components in a server farm.

With different storage technologies, such as NAS and SAN, and different methods to connect to them, such as Fibre Channel and SCSI, it becomes difficult to manage, integrate, and unify all these appliances. Windows Server 2016 makes this task much easier with block storage features such as the iSCSI Target Server, which was first introduced in the box in Windows Server 2012, and file storage features such as Storage Spaces, which was also first seen in Windows Server 2012 and S2D, and is now included in the Windows Server 2016 Datacenter edition of the Windows Server 2016 operating system, giving you an easy and cheap solution for block and file storage.
