Summary
Here is what you have achieved in this chapter:
- Adjusted the volume of different frequencies and enhanced the vocals using Fairlight FX
- Imported your own AU and VST effects and applied them
- Created a Sound Library and imported new SFX into it
- Used the Sound Library to audition SFX and add them to the Timeline
You now know how to work with some audio-editing techniques on both the Cut and Fairlight pages and import audio effects and plug-ins to expand Resolve’s audio-editing functionality.

In Chapter 6, we will also look at different file types and what video codecs are. We will look at importing and preparing different file types traditionally associated with old video footage into Resolve. We will then fix the video using FusionFX and the audio using Fairlight.
