Dynamic processors refer to a type of audio processing tool used to modify the level of an audio signal over time. They control the dynamics of a sound source and achieve a more consistent and polished sound. Now, let’s take a look at the dynamics processors that come bundled with Studio One.
Compressor
A compressor is a dynamics processor that reduces the dynamic range of an audio signal by attenuating the level of loud sounds. It’s commonly used to create a more consistent level for a Vocal or Instrument Track, and can also be used to add sustain to guitar and bass sounds.
