Tension! Stress! These are some words that we encounter quite often. Primarily, this arises from managing our time or performance expectations during study, work, or any activity at hand. This tension sometimes feels unpleasant, but it is also needed to foster achievement. However, did you know that tension or pressure is also exerted on materials, either on finished goods or in production? Just as we manage stress and tension in our personal lives, materials have to manage tension effectively. In the process of manufacturing several products, tension is an essential parameter. In production, if tension is not managed correctly, it usually leads to material deforming or breaking.
