The VMware JMP brings together a number of VMware technologies to deliver this stateless desktop environment. The following diagram shows a high-level overview of the JMP components and how they fit together:
As you can see from the preceding diagram, the JMP solution is made up of a number of VMware technologies working together to deliver the desktop or app to the end user. These components are as follows:
- Instant Clones: Builds virtual desktop and RDSH server images on demand
- VMware UEM: Delivers the user profiles and policies to apps and desktops
- VMware Workspace ONE: Provides a workspace portal to access apps and desktops from (optional)
- VMware App Volumes: Delivers just-in-time apps to virtual desktops and RDSH servers
