In this chapter, we have looked at the importance of setting goals before starting the interview process. We have explained why asking complex theoretical questions without a clear purpose is harmful not only to the candidate but also to the interviewer's company. We have explored the flaws of modern interviews and gained tools for making them purposeful and meaningful. We have seen what separates a good job description from a bad one. Also, we have defined a framework for creating interview questions from real tasks that you and your teammates solve on a daily basis.
In the next chapter, we will develop guidelines for building data science teams.
