Case study 2 – superEats
Next, we bring you a case study of observability in the food industry for a food manufacturing company named superEats. They have an end-to-end supply chain starting with procuring the produce from farmers and fisheries processing the food, and delivering it to retailers and wholesalers for sale. There are multiple moving parts at superEats, so the only way for them to work like a well-oiled machine is to have a rounded organizational structure and processes. They have a control culture that keeps the moving parts in check but it also resists change. But the team at superEats was inspired by the benefits of observability and wanted to implement it. Their journey is discussed in the following subsections.
