Technical requirements

For deploying and testing the serverless app that we will develop in this chapter, you will need an Azure account and a subscription. Microsoft Azure offers 12 months of free services (there are limits to how much you can use) and also gives you $200 credit (for 30 days) to get started with Microsoft Azure. The free account also provides you with 25+ always free services.

You can sign up for a Microsoft Azure account at https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/free/.

To be able to create a Microsoft Azure account, you will need a Microsoft account as well. Once you have created the Azure account, a free plan subscription is automatically created for you so that you can start building apps to run in the Microsoft Azure Cloud environment.

Once you have access to the Azure portal, we can start building our serverless apps for the Azure environment. For this chapter...
