Installing the NetScaler Gateway VPX™
Even though the NetScaler appliance is extremely scalable and feature-rich, the installation is not overly complex and can be done in a fair amount of time, provided that we have all the information readily available. The following table illustrates the prerequisites to be satisfied before starting the installation:

The following IP addresses need to be configured on NetScaler for management, backend communications, and gateways:
- NetScaler IP (NSIP): This is the management IP that administrators will use to access an appliance from SSH and the web GUI. In a traditional enterprise environment, the NSIP is typically an IP on the DMZ between the external and internal firewall. Besides, for management, the NetScaler also uses its NSIP to authenticate gateway users with the LDAP servers.
