Working With Multiple Catalogs
In Adobe Learning Manager, a catalog is a collection of learning objects. So far, all the content available on your account is part of the default catalog that was automatically created along with your account. This default catalog has the following characteristics:
- It cannot be deleted (but it can be disabled; as discussed in the Enabling and Disabling Catalogs section later in this chapter)
- All the courses, learning paths, certifications, and job aids that you create on your account are automatically included in the default catalog
- By default, all the learners (including internal and external learners) have access to the default catalog
This default situation is very simple to understand and administer, and it may well correspond to your needs. There is nothing wrong with using it in production. However, there are also many situations where not all learners should have access to the same set of courses:
