Some more context about the DemoEditor information system

Since we are going to use this sample information system and its supposed owner company for the rest of the book, we should take a bit of time to introduce what it does, explain how it is organized, what are their requirements, and so on. Reaching business/IT alignment requires the business to be clear, as many architectural and technical choices will flow one way or another from what the business needs. Though the next section might seem anecdotal, these anecdotes are at the core of the method.

Current company organization

The first section of Chapter 6 was about setting the landscape for DemoEditor, a sample company that edits and publishes books. We went around the different profiles working in the company and the data they manipulate in their daily job.
