Chapter 4. SDDC Design Considerations

If you have never done any design before, this chapter should give you a good starting point and some useful insights about what is good and proven practice. It will talk about the basic principles you want to put into your design as well as how to document any assumptions constraints and limitations.

The design is probably one of the most important things in any SDDC implementation. However, the design itself will be formed out of the actual requirements and business cases. This is one of the reasons why a business case or at least a use case for an SDDC is very important.

The use case or business case will influence the way the SDDC is configured and shaped, therefore you should put as much effort in documenting the business and use cases, as in creating the initial SDDC design itself.
