Blender has a significant number of tools for 3D modeling and object manipulation, such as the 3D Cursor. Up to now, we have only used some of those tools to create a scene in both Chapter 1, Using Blender 2.8 UI, Shading and Navigator Widget, and Chapter 2, 3D Modeling and Real-Time Render in Eevee. It is now time to see how you can use options such as the 3D Cursor to align and gain additional controls for your Blender projects.
The following is what you will learn in this chapter:
- Use and manipulate the 3D Cursor
- Cut models
- Use modifiers
- Align objects with additional snap tools
