Escalate Using Opsgenie Alerts
As part of Atlassian’s Open DevOps package, you also get access to Opsgenie. Opsgenie is a separate product that allows teams to manage alerts, incidents, and incident escalation. It is normally used by agents using Jira Service Management, but it also works for software teams that need to be involved in resolving production issues. Software teams can leverage the power of Opsgenie to manage alerts and incidents that occur against the systems that have been deployed to production.
As we look at the entire DevOps lifecycle, Opsgenie facilitates monitoring activities. Once your products and services are deployed in production, monitoring and reacting to incidents is a critical piece of the feedback loop.
