Discovering and Creating Templates
In the previous chapter, we discovered template parts – self-contained sections of blocks that you can put into site content. In this chapter, we are going to discover templates themselves.
When the term template is used, it often refers to the entire layout of a section of a site – for example, the page or post seen. It might be for a page, a post, or a particular type of content. You can even get specific templates for a particular post or plugin. There is an almost never-ending possibility of variations. You can create your own template, but most themes also come with them.
