Time for action – using an RDP viewer and starting your VM
In this exercise, I'll show you how to use the RDP viewer included in Windows, and then how to start your newly created virtual machine.
Before starting your remote virtual machine, it would be great if you opened the RDP viewer on your Windows desktop PC first. Select Start | All Programs | Accessories | Remote Desktop Connection to open the RDP viewer window, and click on the Connect button:
The Do you trust this remote connection? dialog will appear next. Now go to the Ubuntu Server terminal window you opened in your Windows desktop PC, and type
VBoxHeadless --startvm "UbuntuVB"
followed by Enter. VirtualBox will show the copyright notice along with the Listening on port 3389 message to indicate the virtual machine started successfully.
