End-to-end commerce with OM, Payments, Loyalty, and B2B
As we discussed in Chapter 3, Direct-to-Consumer Selling with B2C Commerce, Commerce Cloud is a lot more than just B2C Commerce. Completing the commerce portion of the solution requires additional components like OM and Payment, which are also available from Salesforce. Features like Loyalty Management might be a value-adding consideration, and if your business also sells to other businesses, evaluating B2B Commerce is worthwhile. All of these Salesforce products work well as part of a united commerce solution.
Each of these is a separate product with its own licensing cost and each should be evaluated like any purchasing decision. In this section, we’ll provide a high-level overview of these products to illustrate why they may or may not be the right fit for your business.
