Using Essbase Set function commands and Calc All to calculate cubes
In this recipe, we are going to build a new default calculation with several commands that should allow us to view its functionality and optimize the calculation's performance. We will list the Essbase setting's descriptions and discuss how to execute the calculation the first time to make sure that it is functioning as expected. Finally, we will go over the calculation order for the Basic database when using a Calc All command. This recipe only applies to the Block Storage Option (BSO) model.
Getting ready
To get started, click on the Start menu and navigate to Program | Oracle EPM System | Essbase | Essbase Administration Services | Start Administration Services Console. In the Log in menu, enter your Administration Server, Username, Password, and click on the Log in button.
