Data Associations
In this chapter, we will be referring to some features of the Data Association editor that you should be familiar with. You might like to take a moment before you begin this chapter to refresh your memory.
Notice the two highlighted areas in the screenshot that follows. The one on the left-hand side of the screenshot is called operation . There are a number of operations available. You choose an operation for each data mapping (each line in the bottom pane of the editor):
Copy: This operation allows you to copy from one object to another and should be used with objects that are not arrays.
Copy List: This operation allows you to copy from one group of objects (called a "node set") to another and should be used with arrays.
Append: This operation allows you to append an individual object or a group of objects to another and can be used with both arrays and other objects.
