Summary
In this chapter, we introduced the APEX development environment and its basic components the APEX IDE, and one of its modules, the APEX Application Builder. Within the Application Builder, we reviewed one of its major components the Page Definition page. We learned how to create a new application page, and how to define its primary attributes, with special attention paid to the page Regions.
In the next chapter, we are going to discuss the major building blocks of the application page the application items.
