Deploying your captured images


The deployment of images could be a whole book in its own right. In this section, we will get an idea about how to perform basic deployments just using Configuration Manager without any MDT integration. While this does not provide you with the full functionality, you could get by having both Configuration Manager and MDT working together. It is still a powerful tool, which will allow you to deploy your operating environment in a simplified and unified manner.

The most basic of task sequences can be put together fairly quickly using Configuration Manager. This will give you the ability to deploy your image, install and update Windows that you might need, and add your client to the domain or a workgroup. You will even be able to deploy additional applications and migrate user state if you wish.
