Summary
In this chapter, we covered details about how Azure AD can be used for identity and access management. We discussed the synchronization of identities through a hybrid infrastructure with Azure AD Connect. Additionally, we discussed how to protect identities using the modern authentication concepts of MFA, SSPR, Windows Hello, Azure password protection, and security defaults.
In the next chapter, we will further discuss identity and access protection and governance in Azure AD with Conditional Access policies, Azure Identity Protection, Entitlement Management, and Privileged Identity Management.
