Implementing Microsoft Purview data loss prevention (DLP)

In Chapter 10, Implementing Microsoft Purview Information Protection and Data Lifecycle Management, you learned how to use and manage sensitive information types, labels, and retention policies.

Data loss prevention (DLP) relies on the same sensitive information types to determine how to handle content from a security perspective. This chapter will build on those labeling and content classification concepts.

This chapter covers the following exam objectives:

• Reviewing and responding to DLP alerts

DLP policies allow you to protect sensitive items across workloads, such as Teams, Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Power BI, as well as on endpoints and within applications such as Word and Excel.
