When subscribing to a trial tenant or directly purchasing Dynamics 365 Business Central, you also have the ability to create online sandbox environments.
You can create online sandboxes in two ways: from a production environment client and/or from Dynamics 365 Business Central Admin Center.
When creating them from a production environment, search (Alt + Q) for sandbox and choose Sandbox Environment (Preview):
You will then be prompted to create a new sandbox environment or open or reset an existing sandbox. If there are no sandboxes and you choose open or reset, a new sandbox will be created. Online sandboxes that are created using a production environment client have the following properties:
- They are named sandbox by default and are also visible in the Dynamics 365 Business Central Admin Center.
