Common error patterns in Project
Learners of any new skill will tend to go through the same patterns of learning, as well as the same patterns of committing errors. If these pitfalls can be identified by a new learner, they can also be avoided. We will now see a series of schedule examples, each of which showcases a specific error pattern. You should bear in mind the following points when going through the examples in this chapter:
- It is important to visually identify the discrepancies discussed as patterns.
- Our examples will be simple, but the same error patterns can also be found in large and complex projects.
- Your attention should only be on the highlighted aspect in the screenshot; other details of the schedule are not relevant to the discussion.
- Error patterns can compound and are often found together.
The diligent reader who has worked through the book from the beginning will be able to recognize these patterns, as they have been discussed earlier...
