Saving and loading Table of Contents styles
Creating a Table of Contents can take a while and you might not want to have to go through the whole process again every time. By saving a reusable Table of Contents style, you can speed up the process allowing you to import the Table of Contents style into new documents along with all the associated paragraph styles.
In this recipe, we will look at how to create a Table of Contents style from an existing Table of Contents, edit the Table of Contents style, and load it back into a new document.
Getting ready
To complete this recipe, open InDesign on your system and create a new document with 12 pages, as shown in the Creating a new document recipe in Chapter 1. Having done this, create and style a Table of Contents as shown in the previous recipes, Generating a Table of Contents and Formatting the Table of Contents.
