Summary
In this chapter, we covered a few topics specifically geared toward connecting to the outside world. Consuming data or posting data into other application is increasingly common in this integrated, connected world in which we live. Although we didn't cover every scenario and every method to connect to another application, we hopefully gave you some helpful tips to get started. Integration is one of those areas where you can spend quite a long time building knowledge and skills over years of practice and research. And what's really interesting about this space is that it is ever evolving, ever changing and adapting to the world.
The biggest concept we covered in this chapter was that of consuming data from a third-party service. Of course, The Movie Database was just one example of thousands of websites and systems that have REST service capabilities.
