As I mentioned previously, I’ve been involved in many different projects over the years. Most projects have been straightforward when it comes to getting business requirements. As I’ve said, business processes are mostly the same across just about every company. When looking at finance and purchasing modules in the system, each deployment is pretty much the same. There may be some slight differences, but for the most part, things will all be the same.
The biggest changes usually arise when it comes to manufacturing or asset management. One example from a previous project occurred when trying to figure out what a company did for its manufacturing processes. It was a difficult project to work on because the client was very steadfast that they wanted their existing business processes to be exactly the same in D365. Because of this, a whole lot of customization needed to be completed so that things would work as they wanted.
