Appendix: Getting Up and Running with Business Central, VS Code, and the GitHub Project
This is a book about writing automated tests in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, not about how to develop extensions with VS Code and the AL language. It is assumed that you know how to use VS Code in conjunction with the AL development language and how Dynamics 365 Business Central works as a platform and an application. Based on this, we dive straight into the code in Chapter 2, Test Automation and Test-Driven Development, without explaining anything about the development tools we are using, and continue to do that in the following chapters.
In this appendix, however, we pay some attention to setting up your Business Central environment and VS Code, and the code examples to be found in the repository on GitHub.
