Web 3.0
Web 3.0 is the third stage of the evolution of the World Wide Web or the internet and has been designed to overcome the limitations of prior stages – that is, Web 1.0 and Web 2.0. In Figure 12.1, it is represented as follows:

Before we understand Web 3.0 and how it can be combined with IoT, let’s first understand the web’s evolution from Web 1.0 to Web 3.0, as depicted in the following figure:
