Bucket is a logical structure under which we can store the data such as photos, videos, documents, and audio files. We need to provide unique bucket names across the globe irrespective of different AWS accounts and AWS regions.
Amazon allows us to store unlimited data in the bucket. There is a limit for bucket creation which is 100. This limit can be increased by raising a request to Amazon.
A bucket can be created in any of the AWS regions. Choosing a region for the bucket is very much important as this helps us to optimize latency to transfer data from S3 to clients.
To create a bucket, we need to provide a unique name and choose a region. If we don't provide the region, it will be created in the US East (Northern Virginia) region. Region-specific endpoints are allocated in S3. The endpoint for the US East (Northern Virginia) region will be: s3.amazonaws.com...
