Only completely read 1 chapter and almost every topic is treated carelessly, no rigor at all to defining what they are talking about clearly and mistakes and confusing writing everywhere. They say circles in a picture represent something, and if you look at the picture to see what the circles represent actually its cubes. They say something is marked in a picture as yellow and actually it's a different color.Take a look at this on page 4:"The cube has its own transform, which encompasses that object's transform, rotation, and scale. Keep in mind that transform holds the local position, rotation, and scale." What does this recursive nonsense even mean? The transform includes a transform and some other things, and that transform includes the same things too?The breaking point for me that made me write this review is when I'm reading page 2 or 3 of the second chapter and they say there is a folder in the github repo with examples of game design documents. After 10 minutes of browing everywhere through the repo, it seems they forgot to actually upload them. For $40 this is pretty much unacceptable. Really lazy, don't write a book if you're not going to actually put the effort in to make it a good learning experience.Might be a good book if you already are quite familiar with what they are making a very poor effort to effectively teach.

The book is very thorough about Unity 3D game development. It introduces not only the process of developing a 3D game, but shares many experience in practice. Many of them are very handy, regardless of small or large team. It introduces concepts from basic and dive into it when we use them in development. There are a lot of concepts and knowledges covered in this book, so I would recommend this book to the people who have some knowledge about Unity.

Let me start by saying this this is not a quick-reference guide, this is a massive tome that takes you the entire process of creating a game in Unity 3D from concept, to design, to installing and configuring the Unity editor, creating scenes, creating/rigging/animating characters.It also, and this surprised me, has an extensive overview of programming in C# which should be very helpful to beginners. I have a YouTube channel where I post Unity 3D tutorials and I often forgot how much I take for granted about basic programming/C# concepts so including this information definitely avoids that pitfall.I would like to emphasize that it really gives a high-level overview of pretty much all the facets of creating a game in Unity but doesn't go into tremendous detail on any of them.They also provide a link to a GitHub repository with source code to refer to as you follow-along in the book and they have an active Discord channel as well.All-in-all, I'd say this is an excellent starting point for anyone interested in doing game development in Unity.

It is a great book written in a very easy to understand manner. The illustrations and graphics are helpful.

What is custom duty/charge?
Customs duty are charges levied on goods when they cross international borders. It is a tax that is imposed on imported goods. These duties are charged by special authorities and bodies created by local governments and are meant to protect local industries, economies, and businesses.
Do I have to pay customs charges for the print book order?
The orders shipped to the countries that are listed under EU27 will not bear custom charges. They are paid by Packt as part of the order.
A custom duty or localized taxes may be applicable on the shipment and would be charged by the recipient country outside of the EU27 which should be paid by the customer and these duties are not included in the shipping charges been charged on the order.
How do I know my custom duty charges?
The amount of duty payable varies greatly depending on the imported goods, the country of origin and several other factors like the total invoice amount or dimensions like weight, and other such criteria applicable in your country.
For example:
If you live in Mexico, and the declared value of your ordered items is over $ 50, for you to receive a package, you will have to pay additional import tax of 19% which will be $ 9.50 to the courier service.
Whereas if you live in Turkey, and the declared value of your ordered items is over € 22, for you to receive a package, you will have to pay additional import tax of 18% which will be € 3.96 to the courier service.
How can I cancel my order?
