GenAI fundamentals
GenAI is a subfield of AI that focuses on developing algorithms and models capable of generating new, original content, such as text, images, music, or code. This is in contrast to traditional AI models, which typically focus on understanding and classifying existing data.
At the heart of GenAI lies the concept of large language models (LLMs). LLMs are a type of artificial neural network (ANN) that has been trained on massive amounts of text data. This training allows LLMs to learn patterns and structures of human language, enabling them to generate text that is often indistinguishable from human-written text.
