Integration with Power BI
In the previous chapter, we covered integrating Power Apps with Power Automate, Microsoft Teams, and Outlook. Building on that foundation, this chapter delves into the integration capabilities with Power BI.
Users often require additional information, such as visual dashboards, detailed reports, and insightful analytics, which can enhance the functionality of their applications. While Power Apps offers some analytical and graphing capabilities, these can be limited in terms of overall reporting functionality and visual aesthetics. Integrating Microsoft Power BI with Power Apps provides a robust solution, combining the flexibility of Power Apps with the powerful reporting and visual analysis features of Power BI. Furthermore, the integration with Power BI works in both canvas and model-driven apps. Furthermore, this integration also works in the opposite direction by allowing you to embed a Power App directly in a Power BI report.
