Summary
In this chapter, we have learned about converting Microsoft Access and Oracle Forms applications to APEX. We have seen how we can obtain metadata from our existing applications and use it to create Oracle database schemas and APEX Migration Projects. We have also seen how we can use Migration Projects to track, manage, and perform the conversion of an application. Once converted, we can complete remaining conversion tasks and enhance the application using the APEX Application Builder. The APEX conversion tools will not completely convert our applications, but enable the core of our application to be converted quickly and easily while providing a good foundation to build upon.
