The selection tools
A selection is a feature that's used in Elements to apply an effect to only part of an image rather than, if no selection were made, to the entire picture. A typical example might be to select a pale sky to make it darker without affecting the rest of the image.
Photoshop Elements comes with a range of excellent selection tools, each designed to make the complicated and often tedious process of selecting objects a little easier.
Easy object removal
Interestingly, the program has two great new AI-driven selection features designed to make the selection process as painless as possible. These are Object Removal and Subject Selection. Let's have a look at these two new features first.
