The sample data required to do the tutorials is no longer available in the locations and formats described in the book. And the user interface has already changed enough since printing of the book that it's a struggle to follow the tutorial instructions. If you just want to read it and not actually do all the exercises, it's an excellent overview of all the capabilities. But for hands-on it's already out of date.

Microsoft Fabric is very much in its infancy and there's a lot of great information on the internet but it's very spread about lots of blogs and getting a nice crisp overview is often difficult. This book from Packt is a really clear summary of where we are now with the product and architecture and having things to hand is really helpful rather than having to dive off to Microsoft blogs and support pages and other 3rd party blogs.I've recently passed the DP-600 qualification and wish I'd had this excellent book to hand before I attempted the exam.As with the other Packt books I've read the chapters are really well structured "this is what we'll show you", the content itself and then "this is what we've learned" style to reinforce the learning.Screenshots are really clear and in colour which does help the eye.I was able to find the relevant files on GitHub and do some of the doing which helps the learning rather than just purely theoretical. The book covers key concepts such as data ingestion, different methods of orchestration and on to admin and security considerations.I'd definitely recommend this book for anyone looking to learn about Microsoft Fabric and to understand some of the new technical terms, concepts and capabilities the product brings.
