In this chapter, we have learned about the Windows FileSystemWatcher object and how it works. We created a custom file watching microservice that will respond to file change events and publish them for other microservices to consume. We also talked about some of the things to watch out for when it comes to events and buffers. Finally, we showed you a great open source project that abstracts all the work of writing FileSystemWatcher.
In the next chapter we will develop the internals of a machine learning Microservice from which you can expand to meet your needs.
