Using customization in IDEs

Once the admin gives the thumbs-up to start using a particular customization, it’s straightforward to start using it from the IDE.

Just a reminder that customizations are only available in the Pro tier, which means that you have to log into the IDE using your IAM Identity Center credentials. The following screenshot highlights that as soon as I log in to the VS Code IDE using my IAM Identity Center credentials, it gives me a notification that I have access to a new Amazon Q customization.

As soon as I select it, I can see the name of the customization that was created earlier. The following screenshot highlights this aspect in VS Code IDE.
