Summary

Every enterprise has a unique business model that calls for a unique cloud transformation journey. It is imperative to align the cloud journey with the business objectives. In this chapter, we explored the multi-dimensional value-complexity framework that organizations can leverage to identify and pick the right cloud initiatives that deliver the maximum business value. We discussed the various cloud transformation journeys and their merits and demerits. We also reviewed the different cloud migration strategies, including the 6 R’s that enterprises can leverage as a structured framework to migrate and innovate in the cloud.

For enterprises with a traditional on-premises ecosystem, we explored the different hybrid cloud strategies and cloud transformation journeys that can yield incremental business value. Finally, we reviewed the modern use cases that organizations can use as a tool to drive innovation and digital disruption.
