Summary

In this chapter, we have discussed the various principles governing corporate ESG and how cloud computing contributes to an organization’s overall ESG objectives. We also explored the various ESG regulatory reporting standards, including double materiality, and the value of integrating ESG principles. Further, we reviewed how enterprises can leverage cloud computing as an ESG enabler and build sustainable cloud applications by choosing providers committed to sustainability, optimizing resource allocation, using energy-efficient computing, and designing for efficiency.
