Connecting canvas apps to SharePoint data
Connecting a canvas app to a SharePoint list is a straightforward process. Let’s first create an app in the Power Apps maker portal, which can be accessed at https://make.powerapps.com. In the Create section, let’s pick Blank app.

On the next screen, let’s create a blank app. The blank app name and format, which define the layout and orientation of the app, need to be picked. The Tablet format is a practical choice when building apps that are mainly used with a computer or a tablet and are surfaced directly on Power Apps, on a Microsoft Teams tab, or in wide columns in SharePoint pages. The Phone layout is a workable possibility when the app is used with mobile devices or, for example, narrow columns in SharePoint pages.
