Combining nodes
We will now use some nodes to turn the Edge Mask image into a realistic texture:
- Use a Mix RGB node to control the colors of the Edge Mask:
- Set the Math node to Power to amplify the intensity of the edge wear effect:
- Control the Exponent value of the Power node with a Noise Texture node and a ColorRamp node.
This will make the surface appear worn and scratched:
- Set the colors in the Mix RGB node to green for the paint and light brown or gray for the wear:
- Duplicate the nodes from the base color input with Shift + D and move them down.
We will use this second set of nodes to control the roughness of the texture:
